Hey guys welcome back as I told you last week in part one of JJ's birthday and party there was going to be a part two. The party was an success! Setting up the party at the park was the most difficult because there was other parties going on. I had to switch the location at the last minute, which was nerve-wrecking. I found a park with no one around and it had a place to barbecue and a huge playground for JJ and his cousins. The decorations was paw patrol everything, I even had paw patrol goodies for everyone who came. Once everyone got there, they covered the gift table with lots of gifts. The kids played on the play ground and JJ got a chance to swing on the swing for the first time. He laughed the whole time while I pushed him. After, I tried to let him walk but he was scared because he didn't know how to walk on the ground. At that point he started to get fussy so I started playing the games. We played balloon pop, UNO, red light green light, and musical chairs. The balloon pop game was fun because the balloons had money in them. My brother won all the money. All the men in the family played basketball until it was time to eat. We ate barbecue chicken. hamburgers, and hot dogs with any variety of chips. Then we started opening up the gifts, JJ was so tired that he was dozing off opening up the first gift. I was really funny to watch him trying to keep his eyes open. By the time we finished opening gifts, it was dark outside so I decided to cut the cake and sing happy birthday at my house. At home JJ was still sleep so I had to wait until he got up, when he did that's when everyone came over for cake. I sat JJ down and let him eat his own cake. While I watched him eat his cake, I was very teary-eyed because it felt like just yesterday I was told he only needs milk for food and to hold his bottle now he's feeding himself. The party was over and JJ and I went straight to sleep after our baths. It's been one week and he already said his first word and got his first bruise from falling, I can already tell my JJ is going to be a handful ...Welcome to Chapter 1!
Happy belated birthday to your little one!!! Sounds like you had an awesome/successful birthday party for your little one, kids are definitely a handful (trust me I know, I was THREE of them) but building memories with them is best part of it all!! Keep enjoying baby as they do grow up fast (too fast)
ReplyDeleteI like how you made this into like a two part episode. Its nice to see how you care so much about JJ and how he plays such a big part in your life. I like being able to compare your family to mine except for how we played soccer instead of basketball but much of everything else your family did was the same. Happy Birthday and thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son! Aside from summarizing the party planning and the days events in these last two posts, think of ways to connect the larger concepts to a general audience. The passing of time. The planning of special events. The establishing of memories and traditions. Etc. These larger concepts should drive the purpose behind your entries so that your topic is accessible to all readers whether they have kids or know your son, etc.
