Hey guys welcome back as I told you last week in part one of JJ's birthday and party there was going to be a part two. The party was an success! Setting up the party at the park was the most difficult because there was other parties going on. I had to switch the location at the last minute, which was nerve-wrecking. I found a park with no one around and it had a place to barbecue and a huge playground for JJ and his cousins. The decorations was paw patrol everything, I even had paw patrol goodies for everyone who came. Once everyone got there, they covered the gift table with lots of gifts. The kids played on the play ground and JJ got a chance to swing on the swing for the first time. He laughed the whole time while I pushed him. After, I tried to let him walk but he was scared because he didn't know how to walk on the ground. At that point he started to get fussy so I started playing the games. We played balloon pop, UNO, red light green light, and musical chairs. The balloon pop game was fun because the balloons had money in them. My brother won all the money. All the men in the family played basketball until it was time to eat. We ate barbecue chicken. hamburgers, and hot dogs with any variety of chips. Then we started opening up the gifts, JJ was so tired that he was dozing off opening up the first gift. I was really funny to watch him trying to keep his eyes open. By the time we finished opening gifts, it was dark outside so I decided to cut the cake and sing happy birthday at my house. At home JJ was still sleep so I had to wait until he got up, when he did that's when everyone came over for cake. I sat JJ down and let him eat his own cake. While I watched him eat his cake, I was very teary-eyed because it felt like just yesterday I was told he only needs milk for food and to hold his bottle now he's feeding himself. The party was over and JJ and I went straight to sleep after our baths. It's been one week and he already said his first word and got his first bruise from falling, I can already tell my JJ is going to be a handful ...Welcome to Chapter 1!

Entry 8: Happy Birthday JJ! Party Time!( Part 1)
Hey guys , guess what today is ...JJ's 1st Birthday!!!! On this day a year ago at 11:47 a.m , JJ was born. If you been reading my blogs you will know the exact pounds , oz and height he was. Through out this year JJ has been amazing so planning this party has been the most emotional, stressful thing ever. I decided to have it at a park since he never really got the opportunity to get on the swing because he was so little. The theme is Paw Patrol because he loves the show and dances to the theme song. I'm kind of nervous because all his family and cousins are going to be there. I hope he doesn't get fussy because we're going to be outside. He will have a gift table, food table, and a snack table and lots of games and money prizes. The highlight of today is his cake ( which is his favorite), its a Paw Patrol strawberry shortcake with butter creme icing. This day is going to be full of a lot of tears ( happy of course) because this is the start of his chapter one. I couldn't be more proud of his developments and his personality which lets me know that he's not just a spit image of his dad but he has my personality also. I'm proud to say I am a mother of a awesome one year old. I labeled this part 1 because the party hasn't even started and I want to show you guys pictures and tell you about the party so stay tuned π.

Entry 7:The Big Food Journey
Welcome back guys, This week in my ENG101 class, we were asked to pick a food topic to write about and I chose food safety: food irradiation. When you see this food irradiation symbol on your food, it basically means they used radiation to make the food last longer. The radiation kills the bacteria that grows on the fruits, vegetables and meats to make it last longer with a better risk of not being sick. This topic is important because it is an issue that is rarely seen but it is in your local grocery store and could cause long term health problems from a little virus to something big like cancer. I found this to be interesting to talk about because food is a everyday necessity and everyone should be aware on what is done to the foods they eat. I pulled two comics off the internet about food irradiation and was impressed on the messages from both pictures.
The first comic is a picture of a lady shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables but instead of the names of all the fresh fruits and veggies, there are signs of radioactive waste , unhealthy foods with a guy in a full blown face mask and body suit. This is my point on the whole topic, we are eating irradiated foods and don"t know because there are other words covering up the truth. As you can see, "fresh farm products" is displayed by the fresh fruits and vegetables but really they aren't even in there natural state.
The second comic is a picture of a woman and her son going grocery shopping but instead of all the labels of food that we're used to, its labels with the truth and what they do to us humans. This picture is really powerful because it shows the food for what it does for our bodies and what harm it causes to us. Our everyday food could possibly cause us a lifetime of effects and we don't know because it has the label tat we are so used to. Next time your in your local food mart or grocery store pay close attention to food safety and the symbols on the food because that lets you know if your eating irradiated food.

Entry 5: Fresh but not Really
Hey guys this week I was asked by my ENG101 teacher to watch a film called Fresh then write about my thoughts on it. This film was about how farmers are trying to reinvent their crops and do it the best way possible without getting everyone sick. After watching this film, I honestly don't know how to feel about meats and natural foods. There were so many things that could go wrong like food contamination, pollution due to the different fertilizers they use on the crops, and many different diseases you can catch if the animals don't have proper care. Everyone who eats meats or natural foods should care and watch this because you are finding out how they care for these animals and plants. The part that really disturbed me was how the killed the chickens, took them apart, and got them ready to be sold in the stores. This part disturbed me because it was no sanitation within the whole process if I knew this before hand I would of never eaten chicken. Another scene that really had me in amazement was how they just threw the chicks out of the bin on the ground. I didn't really like that because it seemed as if they didn't care if they were hurt or not. Overall this film was very informational regarding our produce and meats. Watch this film all the way through and see if you still want to pick up a chicken wing.
Entry 4 : Motherhood and His Developments
Hey guys this week its all about JJ(Justin Jr).
JJ is my now 11 month old baby boy. Within this whole 11 months, Motherhood has been great. He laughs, crawls, walks, and lets not forget babble. JJ has the cutest dimples that makes it so hard to say no. Slowly he's starting to grow into his own personality. If someone would have told me a year ago I would be a mother I would have said
"No way! Babies are totally out of my vocabulary"
Motherhood at first was very hard because I knew nothing about taking care of babies. During the pregnancy phase with JJ it was very easy because all I really did was get pampered and spoiled ,sleep, and eat lots of potatoes. I had no energy due to my body making another human being in which he was very active even inside the womb. I was in labor for 16 hours and JJ was born April 9, 2016 at 11:47 am and he weighed 8 lbs and 3 oz , his height was 20 in.25( very long I knowπ). JJ for the most part was a very chilled newborn. He cried only when he was hungry, wet, and sleepy. He was holding his own bottle at 3 months. At 5 months he was able to sit up on his own with help from the boppy body pillow. At 8 months he learned how to crawl and say "Mama" and "Dada". At 10 months , JJ is walking and eating table food. JJ mimics everything I do, and lets not mention he follows me everywhere through the house. Its bittersweet to know in less than a month JJ will be starting Chapter 1 of his life. I have no favorite part of motherhood, All moments are camera ready moments but I love the person I am becoming due to motherhood. Don't get me wrong motherhood comes with its challenges but its worth every bit of emotion. Just a little update in my world of motherhood..that's all for now logging off my motherly duties are awaiting.

Entry 3: Wait.. hold on.. let me take a selfie!
Hey Guys I'm back, This week my English 101 teacher asked me to listen to three teenage girls talk about the social media map of today. I must admit I was pretty impressed on how much I learned. There are plenty of social media websites such as Facebook, Instagram, Snap chat,Twitter, etc. Everything on social media pretty much revolves around likes, comments, shares, or views. They talked about how its a chain reaction on getting lots of comments\likes, so once you comment on friends picture or post they would return the favor and do the same. Today girls and women empower other girls and women by commenting saying
"oh your so beautiful" or "πππ" underneath their pictures. They also talked about how on Instagram, they just "double tap" just to let the person know they seen the picture. What I didn't understand was why they send the pictures they were going to post in a group chat before posting the picture on social media.Their friends were going to see it anyway, I guess it's to save the embarrassment beforehand , which I could understand. Normally the first people who like and comment on my picture on social media are my best friends and boyfriend. It gives me a lot of confidence to know that I at least have their support.I totally agree when they said ''You normally get the most likes during the day or even at night" it happens to me all the time. If I were to post something at 2 am in the morning, I wouldn't get that many likes because not to many people would be up. I personally don't take social media serious but the likes are always cool...well bye guys until next time ..logging off but first let me take a selfie!

Entry 2: Top 5 things to boost up your self confidence
Hi guys this week we're gong to talk about having self confidence and what we could do to boost it. First lets talk about what is. Self confidence is a feeling of trust in one's abilities, qualities, and judgement. I recently was having a moment when I had low self esteem especially after having my son. After carrying a baby for almost ten months, your body goes through drastic changes. What helped me get through was exercise and doing things that I loved to do before I was pregnant like running, squats, crunches, and lady push ups. Of course the results weren't shown over night. The five things I did to boost my self confidence were....
#1.Started working on my appearance
I picked at least three things that I wanted to change about my appearance. It could be either changing your hair style or color to the smallest thing on getting your eyebrows arched. Even changing up your style in clothes goes a long way. There are plenty things you could do to make you feel confident as far as appearance wise.
#2. Exercise
This helped boost my self confidence because I didn't really feel in shape. I was still carrying a little baby weight after three months. You could just work on the things you want to shape up like your arms glutes, etc. My favorite exercises were squats, lady push ups and crunches. But you work on whatever makes you feel happy and confident.
#3.Think and Act Positive
Having a positive mind is key to gaining self confidence. When you act positive you start to see positive results. Instead of telling yourself you can't do something, start saying ''I can" or ''I will". The more positive you act the more positive you'll become, you'll learn to walk away from negative things and situations.
#4. Love yourself
Loving yourself consists on following your morals and values. Knowing your worth and what you will and wont accept in your life. Getting rid of everything and everyone who serves no purpose in your life. Going through spiritual and personal growth, becoming the person your destined to be. Doing things that you love to do will give you tons of self confidence.
#5. Smile
Always remember to smile. This tiny gesture can uplift your confidence even when you have low self esteem. I smiled through out the whole process of my transformation. You never know your smile can brighten up someones day. Those are my top five things I do when I feel my confidence getting low. I encourage everyone to try at least one of these a day but for the mean time I'm.........logging off see you laterπ.

Entry 1: Blogging at its finest
Recently I just learned how to blog and I have to admit its kind of fun not having any limitations on your personally opinions and ideas. I prefer visual blogs like videos so I can hear the tone and voice of the person voicing there opinion. Written blogs are cool too. I was asked to pick two blogs that I absolutely love and one blog that I really dislike. My first fav blog that I always have to keep up with is the shade room(www.theshaderoom.com). The shade room is basically about the recent news of celebrities and their everyday life problems. I love reading the different blogs on this page because it lets me know that I'm not the only one facing everyday life problems. This blog helps me with all the latest fashion trends, whats in and whats out(as for fashion). They are very helpful in telling me about whats happening today in the world we live in.
My second fav blog is A Cup Of Jo (www.cupofjo.com). I was recently introduced to this blog and I been following it ever since. There are different tabs you can click on. I like the motherhood and relationship tab being that I am a mother in a relationship π. It helps bring me back to life meaning even though I'm a mother I can still have fun. It gives me different craft ideas that I could do with my son when he gets older. As far as relationships go it helps me better understand what to expect and picking and choosing my arguments. It also helps with opening up within my personal relationships (friends, family etc.)
Lastly is the blog that I didn't like which was Brain pickings (brainpickings.com). This blog really challenged me to open up my mind. For one it is on a academic level that I haven't even reached yet. When I was asked to do this as a assignment in my ENG101 class, I was very upset because I knew it would take me sometime to understand it. It used big words that I had to google. One day I would love to be so academically advanced to the point I could relate to the blog but until then this would have to be one of my dislikes sorry. When you get some free time I encourage you to stop by one of these blog pages but for now I'll see you later ...logging off
